Launching a digital media brand in the midst of a global pandemic and an impending economic recession seems like a lame thing to do. Not to mention – insensitive, arrogant and a complete and utter gamble. But for me, it is the only thing to do.
The world is trying to emerge from a global lockdown. What does that even look like? So many uncertainties. So many questions.
We are moving into a more contemporary mindset, individually and globally. We are blindfolded, swinging our hands in front of us in an attempt to feel the new normal way of life.
There are many things I have learned from being bunkered down with my loved ones. I have learned that life is short and no one knows what is just around the corner. I have learned that if we stand together and fight as a nation, we get results. I have learned that what matters most, are the things right in front of us.
So now is the time to do the things that we have always wanted to do. Chase the dreams that we have always wanted to chase. Live the life that we have always wanted to live.
Be the best version of ourselves and live our best life (Oprah, et al.) The only woman I am willing to take life advice from.
Now is the time to dream big, elevate our style of living and live a life designed by ourselves. I am hoping to build a community of women that feel the same way. Women who dare to dream, who want to challenge the status quo and settle for nothing less than what they are worth. Because who knows what else is just around the corner.
As the editor of Vivienne, it is my goal to spark your inner beauty and radiate your outer beauty. I will commit to inspiring, encouraging and empowering you to envision your best life and I will unapologetically dare you to live it.
The name Vivienne is French for “life” and “alive”. I can’t say what Vivienne will evolve into as a brand but I can tell you that living a beautiful life and feeling alive will be at the heart and centre of it.
Be bright, be bold, be beautiful!
